What happens in the story
A small wheel meets a barrier that effort alone cannot solve.
Little Wheel leaves the workshop with Lily, Sparky the puppy and Luna the cat. They explore a garden and a busy market, until an old stone bridge stops them. A single high step keeps carts and people from crossing.
A slippery plank fails. Pushing harder fails. Little Wheel begins to think he really is too small - then realizes the answer is not to become bigger. With the townspeople, he helps build a small, sturdy ramp. The first cart crosses, and one practical change makes the whole town easier to move through.
